Finger Lakes Choral Festival presents REQUIEM, Op. 5, by Hector Berlioz

The Finger Lakes Choral Festival chorus, with the Penfield Symphony, Daniel McInerney, tenor, and conductor Eric Townell, presents the monumental REQUIEM, of Hector Berlioz, Sunday, July 29, 4:00 P.M. at the Hochstein Performance Hall, free of charge.

The great REQUIEM, by French Romantic composer, HECTOR BERLIOZ, is one of the 'bucket list' masterworks of all time. Calling for massive performing forces, the Berlioz Requiem requires choral and orchestra virtuosity at every turn. It inspires wonderful depth of emotion in all who experience it, as audience or performers. Singers from all across New York and the region convene weekly to prepare the work, to be performed here in its new edition by Festival founder, Adrian Horn. Maestro Eric Townell conducts the Penfield Symphony Orchestra, Daniel McInerney, tenor, and a dozen auxiliary brass players in the balconies of the splendid Hochstein Performance Hall. Admission is free of charge. Sponsored in part by Wegmans. Details for audience and participants may be found at the Festival web site, www.FingerLakesChoral.org
