"Power of Words" ConcertEvent

on March 30, 2019 at First Congregational Church

The "Power of Words" concert opens with the seven movements of Randall Thompson's Frostiana, poetry by Robert Frost. The second half of the concert is gospel and pop music.

"The Road Less Traveled," "Girl's Garden," and "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening" are just three of the famous poems by Robert Frost that will be presented in song at the Power of Words Concert.  Spencerport Community Chorus and the Amadeus Chorale Youth Singers join forces to sing all seven movements of the Randall Thompson composition, Frostiana.  Accompanied by a six-piece chamber ensemble, the choirs will round out the program with gospel and pop tunes, including Gwyneth Walker's "Gospel Ship," Moses Hogan's "I Couldn't Hear Nobody Pray," and "You Raise Me Up."

The concert is held at the First Congregational Church in Spencerport, 65 Church St.  It is a free concert, donations accepted.
