Rochester Women's Community Chorus Presents "Amplifying Voices"

The Rochester Women’s Community Chorus (RWCC) will perform on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Harley School under the direction of Kristy Houston. The chorus will present “Amplifying Voices,” a program of music that encompasses songs from such composers as Corinne Bailey Rae, Carlos Cordero, Rosephanye Powell, and Ysaye Barnwell.

“Our concert this season features the music of composers and arrangers historically underrepresented in choral music, including BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and women,” says Karen Treadwell-Collins, who serves on RWCC’s Music Selection Committee. “Among our selections are arrangements of American, international, and traditional Native American music, a poem from the Harlem Renaissance set to music, and Broadway. We look forward to sharing these voices with all of you!”

Tickets are available at the door and on the RWCC website. General admission: $15; Seniors: $12. Children 12 and under are free. The Harley School is located at 1981 Clover Street, Rochester, NY, 14618. The Harley School Auditorium is wheelchair accessible, and the performance will feature ASL interpretation.
